The Numbers on Medical Malpractice

To many people, medical malpractice (medical treatment that harms rather than helps) is one of those things like cancer or a plane crash. It's something that happens to people, but will never happen to them. Human beings - especially ones under intense and never-ending amounts of stress - are prone to make mistakes. When these people are medical professionals, the consequences can be serious. Serious injuries and even fatalities can occur.
